Miscellaneous items, 1953-1955, concerning the "Joe Must Go" campaigns against Senator Joseph R. McCarthy launched by Republican newspaper editor Leroy Gore, Sauk City, Wis. The additional accessions to the collection consist of biographical material about Gore; items on the McCarthy recall and on organizing Green Butter Day in 1952, an attempt to embarrass the oleomargarine interests; press clippings; letters written by his wife and daughter; the transcript to a biographical audio-visual presentation; and an autobiographical reminiscence.
